Lawyer boycott from Courts in Peshawar, people react on boycott

 Peshawar, The lawyer of Peshawar High Court Bar & District Bar has boycott from courts and they didn’t attend any case in courts. The lawyers celebrate 3 November black day in province. The black day celebrate to remember the emergency action of the General Musharaf on 2007.

 

state of emergency was declared by Pakistani President Pervez Musharaf on November 3, 2007, and lasted until December 15, 2007, during which time the constitution of Pakistan was suspended.[1][2] When the state of emergency was declared, Musharaf controversially held both positions of President and Chief of Army Staff.

 

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry reacted promptly to the emergency declaration, convening a seven-member bench which issued an interim order against this action

 

To condemn the action of Pervez Musharaf, Peshawar High Court Bar called a meeting of Lawyer, in which the President, General Secretary and other lawyer condemn the action of the Pervez Musharaf.

 

Most people whose came to Peshawar High court for their cases hearing were affected on lawyer boycott and they react on boycott of the lawyer.

A old man who is the resident of Abbot Abad and came today for his son case hearing angry on lawyer boycott. He said that there is no government in Pakistan. They said that judiciary is independent, I am facing problem in independent judiciary. Judge gives me new date for case hearing and I will come again Peshawar next week, they didn’t know our position.
