Peshawar , Secretary Golf Association of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa Major Retired Arshad Mahmood confirmed that there is no sponsor in Pakistan for Golf, that’s effects the Golf, game in Pakistan specially in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa. He was addressing a press conference at Golf Course Peshawar on Thursday.

Arshad Mahmood informed the journalists that from 20 April 22 Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa Open Golf Champion ship will start in which more then 200 Golfers were participate in champion ship. The Air vice Marshal Mohammad Arif will be chief guest of the inauguration ceremony. He confirmed that in three days champion women’s golfers from Punjab and Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa province also participate in championship.

Secretary KP Golf association informed that media that 570000 Rupees prizes for the professional winner and other prizes also for armature golfers.

During press briefing international Golfer Mohammad Munir and Col ( R ) Shahdat also with Arshad Mahmood in Golf Course Peshawar.

Secretary KP golf Association inform the journalist that SAARC team visit the area for champion ship but when they look the worst situation of province then they excused for champion ship but now situation is change of the Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa province and  activities has been started. The 22 KP open golf champion ship is the part to promote Golf in Province.

Query about  International Golfer Hamza Amin whose belong to Pakistan Secretary Golf Association KP  said that he is not to give the answer why he left Pakistan and now playing from Austria , but he have dual nationality and he have opportunity  as professional from Austria , that’s why he left Pakistan and now playing from Austria.

Arshad Mahmood who’s also Golfer and participated in different Golf Champion ship abroad further said that “marriages party didn’t disturb the Golf Course Peshawar “. We have no sponsorship so to maintain the expenditure of the Golf course some time it’s happened.

International Golfer Mohammad Munair also talks with media “its honor for me to participate in 22 KP open Golf Champion ship, unfortunately no body sponsor this game, if multi national companies gives sponsorship to players then situation will be change.
