I.E.D Blast on police vehicle at Peshawar, 1 killed 19 injured.

 Peshawar, Terrorist hit the police van with I.E.D explosive on Saturday morning at Gulbahar Area of Peshawar. That hit police van and 4 other vehicles including Riksha. According to S.P Headquarter Javed Khan, police were shifting the Prisoners from Peshawar to Mardan. When the Mobile van crosses the Police station Gulbahar G.T road, a roadside I.E.D explodes. Result 1 police cops killed and 19 were injured including one woman passenger who’s lost her legs in blast.

 

After the blast police has cordoned off the blast spot. Locals sent the injured to lady reading hospital for medical treatment. Hospital management confirmed that 3 were seriously injured. According to Dr Jamil 7 were police officers and 11 were civilian injured in the blast.


Bomb disposal unit has confirmed that it was Local Made I.E.D which fixes on the roadside, more than 5 kilogram explosives used in the blast. Police arrest 5 suspects on the road. Blast has made G.T road blocked for three hours.

 

Police officer Javed Khan informed the journalists that three detainees from Central Prison Peshawar were shifted to Mardan for court hearings and blast occur he also confirmed that one Suspect Namely Abu Baker has an arrest in the Mardan area with suicide jacket and police interrogating him.  Police shifted the detainee to Gulbahar Police station after the blast and cordon off the area.

 

District coordination officer Siraj Ahmed Khan visited the area and talks with media that district management covers the blast; he further added that we increase more checking point in Peshawar city.

 

Senior Minister of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa Bashir Ahmed Bilour also visited the Blast point , he asked  to police about the blast , talking to the  media the Senior Minster said that when ever we take action against these Terrorist they also takes action and especially they targeting the police. We salute our brave police force.

 

According to Senior Minister of the Province Bashir Bilour that the provincial government has no sources to neither install hidden cameras nor have  the money for a scanner, which show the explosive in the vehicle.
