h2. Conditions of participation Youths as well as young adults *up to the age of 27* may participate, presuming they are not professionally active as photographers. h2. Photos *Up to five* individual pictures or a series of up to five in black & white or colour may be submitted. The pictures are to be submitted in JPG-format and should be no bigger than 5 MB whereas at least one side of the picture must be at least 1000px wide. Besides taking part in the contest, the pictures will *also be available for members of the youthphotos.eu community* according to the creative commons. h2. Assessment Assessed (according to priority) will be photographic performance and relevance of subject as well as originality and further artistic criteria. The assessment will initially proceed as a pre-selection according to an evaluation sheet and a jury will meet the final decision h2. Organisers The Youth Press Photo Award 2007 is to be organised by the Youth Press of Germany in co-operation with the European Commission. The award is supported by Adobe and Canon. h2. Disclaimer # The participant is the author of the photography and grants the Youth Press of Germany as well as its partner organisations, with his/her participation, the right to use the participant photography without restriction. # In particular, the participant photography may be reproduced in European Youth Press (EYP) publications and those of its partners and member organisations, as well as in other non-commercial publications. # The photographer grants the EYP as well as its partner organisations the right to publish, duplicate and exhibit as well as the right of reproduction via audio and graphic equipment according to statutes 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 19a and 21 of the German copyright laws. # By uploading a picture the photographer agrees to providing the pictures for members of the youthphotos.eu-community according to the creative commons. This agreement shall be governed by German law, the courts of Berlin shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

h2. Conditions of participation The photo competition Regardeux (French for observers) focuses on the idea of the current campaign "all different - all equal" by the Council of Europe and wants to set a mark for the diversity in our world. Every entry to the photo competition has to be a series of two images. On the first image you should show differences/opposites. And in a second image they are resolved in some way by showing similarities/togetherness. The sequence, whether you first take differences or similarities, doesn't matter. h2. Number of entries and formats Everyone can hand in a maximum of three entries (each consisting of the compulsory two images). The photos can be edited. However, pure graphics and illustrations as shown in the figure above (two screenshots of a video clip of the campaign "all different - all equal") won't be accepted. The minimal photo size of 2000 x 1440 pixels is required. h2. Deadline, awards and exhibition The selection committee will consider all entries that have reached us by midnight on 3rd September 2007. The awards of the jury will be announced on 15th September 2007 in the centre Passepartout-ch in Moosseedorf, Switzerland. All awarded Images will also be published on the website of Tink.ch and shown in the twelve local exhibitions. The public awards will be announced in September 2008. Tink.ch does not cover compensatory cash. h2. Copyrights and usage rights The copyrights remain the property of the photographers. In the context of the photo competition, they allow Youthphotos.eu, Tink.ch as well as their partners to publicly present any photos handed in without any remuneration. By handing in any images the photographers guarantee that they possess all rights of their entries and especially that all people shown on the photos agree on the publication. h2. Organiser and partners The photo competition Regardeux is organised by Tink.ch. Junge Medien Schweiz (JMS), Infoklick.ch, Fachstelle für Rassismusbekämpfung, European Youth Press (EYP), Youthphotos.eu, Adobe, Fotopick Express and Fotointern act as partners.
